Groove Wear Wilmington, NC

Opened 2009

Front Street still smells like river mud if the tide was out.

Groove Wear began because Odell Brice was tired of Wilmington players buying a shiny mill and then throwing wet shots from Masonboro fringe.

The first gauge was a leftover packing micrometer from the menu shop. The first tympan was kraft taped to a bench. The charter has not changed: remaining depth first, recut second, photographs never.

We still will not map a driver face. The chase maps scoring walls. Salt still files the shoulder while the trunk stays shut overnight. That is the whole story, reprinted every summer.
